Ciarraí Abú – A Big Day Out

Ciarraiabu It might have been another wet summer in Ireland, and the economy doesn’t look like improving any time soon, but at least here in the Kingdom of Kerry we can look forward to a big day out in September. Kerry may not have defeated Meath in scintillating fashion, but defeat them they did, and we can now look forward to meeting Cork in the All Ireland Senior Football final. It doesn’t look like little Róisín (photo above) wont be traveling, but I am making plans already…

  1. Love the photo 🙂 up the Kingdom !

Had my Kerry jersey on yesterday, glad they won, should be a great final with fierce Munster rivals Cork and Kerry.
My namesake came from Kerry, but the rest of dad’s side were from West Cork [Millstreet and Macroom area], so my loyalties are divided, I hope that its a great match !

  2. I know all about divided loyalties. My father was born and raised in Cork. His mother’s family, however, was from Tralee. It can get very confusing here in Munster.
