Irish food has its own place in my heart. I lived in Galway for several months last year, and after three weeks travelling around France, Italy, and Switzerland, there was nothing I wanted more than vinegar-drenched chips and mushy peas. I wasn't on the most lenient of budgets, but even so Irish food felt like home.
