The recipe is really great for making scones. When I read this post, I eagerly used it for various flavors and brands and it does really well with all types of ice cream. I would like to include this recipe in my Ice cream menu.

I saw this recipe on another blog that had gotten it from you. I, of course, had to try it immediately. When I buy ice cream, I usually end up throwing the nasty crystallized mess away 3-4 months later because I eat one bowl and forget it's there. I know an ice cream maker doesn't want to hear that. ;) Now I can stop wasting ice cream, because I do love scones.

I love scones fresh from the oven, however, not reheated or toasted, and this combo is ideal for me. I just put a scoop or so of ice cream in a small mixing bowl, let it soften, and add enough self-rising flour to make the right consistency for the dough. I usually get three 2-2 1/2 inch scones from that. Perfect spur of the moment breakfast or tea treat and no old scones to deal with.

I'm always looking for ideas like this -- no sweet tooth, just the occasional craving, so this adaptation is perfect for folks like me.

Thanks!
