Ugh! My God. Thats scary, and so sad. It is incredible how that split second decision not to defend your home with brute force avoided something more terrible happening in your home. Good decision! Your heartbeat must have been deafening though!It’s terrible to think that a grown man would be so confused and disorientated because of alcohol.
I think you’re right to keep the shops alcohol free and family friendly.

Some jerk(s) threw stones at the window of my house around 12.05 am Thursday morning 7th of May 2010. I was watching the British General Election at the time. I dont know but I feel less safe living in Dingle at the moment.

It’s hard to know how we would react in such a situation until we find ourselves in it. Sounds like you kept a cool head. Maybe subconsciously he had a drunken craving for ice-cream! I had someone trying to open my front door once around 3am, luckily though he managed to get into the apartment block my own door was firmly locked. He did make use of the hall as a toilet however before stumbling out into the night.
For my part I like to save my overindulgences for chocolate and ice-cream!
