I recently finished Delizia. Who would have thought tomato sauce was such a recent addition to Italian food? Great read.

I read Cosa Nostra by John Dickie - interesting book. If you're into reading tit bits about food, Schotts Food & Drink Miscellany is brilliant. Examples of what prisoners on death row requested for their final meal, the origin of alot of recipes and any anecdotes to do with food. Mrs Beeton's book is good for a giggle too - gives handy hints & top tips on managing your household / servants!
